Certified Paving Co. grew from a pickup truck, a few seal buckets, and a determination to build something of their own. Today, Tom and Nathan lead a growing, owner-operated paving company—but the pride they take in the work comes from four generations of experience.
FOUR GENERATIONS
Built From the Ground Up
Paving wasn't something Tom Stanley discovered later in life. He grew up around it, spending his younger years on the roller and around the heavy equipment his father worked with. His great-grandfather, grandfather, father, and now Tom represent four generations of paving experience.
Nathan's path into the family was a little different. At 16, he began working as a laborer with Tom's father, Tom Stanley Sr., and eventually became part of the family in every sense of the word. Nathan considers Tom Sr. like a father, and together Tom and Nathan began building Certified Paving Co. from the ground up.
They started as teenagers going out to sealcoat with a pickup truck and seal buckets. They bought their first truck, kept taking on more work, and continued building—one project at a time.

From walking the property with the customer and developing a game plan to overseeing the work on site, the owners stay involved throughout the project.

James Lunt, Ryan Brown, Justin Bishop, Dan Barnard, Connor Jackson, and Timothy Dickey each play a part in getting the work done. The crew works together, communicates without having to say much, and knows what needs to happen to keep the project moving.
